Responding to Ukranian Refugees

Almost 3.5 million Ukrainian refugees, mostly women and children, fled in the first year following the Russian invasion in February 2022. Many of those moved through Romania en route to other countries, but many thousand have remained there, with the assistance of family, government, and humanitarian agencies. Timelines continue to unfold while the war carries on and needs constantly shift. The needs of the Ukrainian people continue to emerge, and WOC continues to work to care for displaced persons and refugees in this crisis.
